POLICY & COMMISSION INFORMATION

GETTING STARTED!

  1. To inquire about a portrait, contact me personally via email, a submission request, or through any of my social media platforms.

  2. Send 2 to 5 high-resolution photos of the pets. Photos must be clear, well-angled, preferably cropped to your liking, and with good lighting that allows details to be visible.

  3. Discuss ideas and details about the portrait size and style you would like made. You will be given a quote and time estimate based on this information.

  4. First deposit or full payment is to be sent upfront to place a booking on the waitlist, then the work process begins!

I do NOT accept cancellations or refunds once the painting process begins. 

I will not accept exchanges or returns for completed artwork. Only adjustments will be made to completed artwork before items are shipped out.

PAYMENT METHOD

A 50% deposit or full payment of the order's total price is to be paid upfront. Orders will not be booked and the work process will not begin until a deposit is sent and confirmed. Because this deposit is used to cover supplies used, this first deposit is non-refundable once the work process begins. I will still permit cancellations with a full refund if I have not yet begun on the portrait and in some special circumstances.

ADDITIONAL PETS OR PEOPLE

I am able to paint one or multiple subjects (pets or humans) within the same portrait. There will be an additional fee added to the total price of the portrait per extra subject that is included to the portrait.

The extra fee price per additional subject (pet or person) is marked as the following:

BACKGROUNDS

Paintings are made with a simple background color and style of your choice. Complex background requests may be subject to have an additional charge of 40% of the portrait's price depending on the request and size of your portrait.

I'm happy to make as many minor adjustments as needed but making major changes to backgrounds once they have already been painted and already agreed upon the direction to take, will result in an additional 40% charge to redo the background.

HOW LONG IT TAKES

Turn around times depend on the chosen portrait size, the number of subjects that will be painted into the portrait, and your spot on the wait list. When ordering, you will be given a time estimate. This is only an estimated time frame and may be subject to change if any complications arise with the request.

With the exception of large scale portraits, most portraits are usually ready within 3-8 weeks after ordering.

If you need a portrait by a certain date:

Please keep in mind that I usually have a wait list in place and tend to work on a "first come, first served" basis to ensure everyone's orders are completed within a reasonable time frame.

  • If items are ordered and you are in a time crunch, I can sometimes complete work with an added rush fee~ however, I can not guarantee that it would still arrive by the desired date once the package is under the mail carrier's care.

  • Items ordered and shipped during the winter or during a severe weather period across the country (storms, hurricanes, ice, snow, wild fires) cannot be guaranteed to arrive by expected delivery dates as these conditions are out of my control.

  • During the Christmas holiday season, wait lists tend to be longer and usually completely fill up by October to late November. Holiday orders must be placed no later than November to receive them by Christmas week. 

SHIPPING & INSURANCE

Shipping is not included in the total cost of the painting. Locals can pick up their portraits upon completion at my location in Memphis Tennessee. Otherwise, there will be a shipping fee added to your order. This fee starts at $6 for small packages and $15 for most watercolors and acrylic canvases. Shipping fees are subject to increase depending on the package size, weight, and its destination. For orders with multiple items, shipping can be combined. As of 2026, International Shipping is currently unavailable due to tariffs and recent shipping policy changes.

Shipments are done once a week with the option of using USPS or UPS, and take approximately 2-15 business days to arrive within the United States of America. A tracking number will be provided once packed and shipped.

Paintings are fully insured. If any loss or damages happen during transit, your order is covered. Please reach out to me with pictures of the damaged order and package to help you file a claim.

Options after the claim has been resolved

  • Receive a full refund (no replacement painting is made). 

  • New replacement painting is made at no extra cost (no refund will be provided).
